The Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Maryland, will hold a public hearing to consider Ordinance No. 2023 authorizing an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $8,400,000 of public debt (the “Bonds”) to be issued under the State of Maryland’s Local Government Infrastructure Financing Program, pursuant to the authority of Sections 4-101 through 4-255 of the Housing and Community Development Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland, as amended. The purpose of this debt is to (i) finance or refinance the costs of certain projects, including facility improvements, fleet equipment acquisition and street improvements, (ii) fund reserves, and (iii) to pay the costs of issuance of the Bonds.
