 PARADE GRAND MARSHALS

The Laurel 4th of July Committee is excited to announce that this year's Grand Marshals will be Laurel's dedicated Volunteers! We have extended invitations to several organizations to identify a representative to participate in the parade. This is our way of expressing a heartfelt Community Thank You for their contributions in making Laurel a fantastic place to live, work, and thrive! To have your organization represented, kindly email the Laurel 4th of July Committee with your organization's name, as well as the name and contact details of the representative, to fourthofjuly@laurel.md.us.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

There will be NO Backpacks/Bookbags, NO Coolers, NO Alcohol and NO Fireworks allowed. Also, for the safety of your pets, there will be NO Pets allowed at the celebration, so please leave them at home.

CHANGE IN FIREWORKS

The 4th of July Committee would like to notify the public that, due to changes in the fireworks setup location, we have introduced a new fireworks product that promises a more vibrant visual and auditory experience, but distance restrictions will limit the height of the fireworks display compared to previous years, affecting visibility across the city. For the best viewing, head to the Lake area.

 PARKING

Due to limited parking and increased road closures, we suggest carpooling with family or friends and allocating extra time to find parking. When parking, please show consideration for the nearby neighborhoods and residents, as well as businesses and their customers. Be prepared for large crowds on the day of the event and remain patient.

 WEATHER

The weather is a significant consideration on event day. To stay informed about any schedule changes due to weather, please monitor the City of Laurel’s Social Media accounts (@cityoflaurel, @laurelcityoem). At the time of this publication, temperatures are expected to exceed 90 degrees, with a chance for storms. In case of any medical assistance needs, the Lakehouse will function as a First Aid Station, and a Misting Machine will be available to help you cool down.

 WATCH LIVE

Tune into the City of Laurel Government’s Facebook page - @LaurelMaryland – to watch Laurel TV’s Live coverage of the 4th of July Committee’s Independence Day Parade at 11:00am, coverage of the day’s events and the Fireworks around 9:15pm.
