Also known as a ‘map amendment’ or ‘rezoning’. Requests to change the zoning category for a specific property to a zoning category more harmonious with the existing onsite use, neighboring properties, and the Comprehensive Master Plan. Application fees are assessed according to the proposed new zoning category, not the existing.
Approved by: Mayor and City Council, after recommendation from Planning Commission.

- 10 or less acres: $2,630
- More than 10 to 50 acres: $3,430
- More than 50 acres: $3,430 plus $100 per acre
Commercial or Industrial
- C-G, C-V, C-N, C-C, C-VAC, I-CS, I-RTP, I-G, O-B, O-B-E, M-X-T
- 10 or less acres: $3,430
- More than 10 to 50 acres: $5,630
- More than 50 acres: $5,630 plus $200 per acre
PUD, PDA & C-SH
- 10 or less acres: $3,430
- More than 10 to 50 acres: $6,230
- More than 50 acres: $6,230 plus $300 per acre
Note: All fees include $30 zoning sign fee, $200 legal ad fee, and $200 transcript steno fee.
