The City of Laurel is pleased to announce that its municipal swimming pools will officially open for the 2025 summer season on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Community members will be able to access both the Laurel Municipal Pool, located at 901 Main Street, and the Greenview Drive Pool Complex, located at 14403 Greenview Drive.
As part of the City’s ongoing commitment to serving its residents, admission will be limited exclusively to City of Laurel residents and season pass holders from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Both pools will be open to the general public after 2:00 p.m. including non-residents.
In coordination with the Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) calendar, the pools will operate on a modified schedule until the conclusion of the academic year. From May 24 through the last day of school, pool hours will be:
• Monday through Friday: 4 pm - 8 pm
• Saturday and Sunday: 12Noon - 8 pm
Upon the start of the summer break, both facilities will transition to full seasonal hours, operating daily from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (exceptions for Laurel Municipal Pool, Tuesdays- 2:00-8:00 p.m. & Greenview Drive Pool Complex, Mondays 2:00-8:00 p.m.). Pools will remain open through Labor Day, Monday, September 1, 2025.
Throughout the season, the Department of Parks and Recreation will offer a variety of recreational opportunities, including learn-to-swim programs, water aerobics classes, and other special events. Information regarding swim team activities and seasonal announcements will be posted on the City’s Parks and Recreation website and social media channels.
