Juneteenth Celebration Set for Saturday, June 22nd

Laurel, MD – [June 18, 2024] Mayor Keith R. Sydnor and the City of Laurel Juneteenth Executive Planning Committee invite all residents and surrounding communities to our Annual Juneteenth Celebration.

This year’s jubilee is Saturday, June 22nd, from 3pm - 7pm at Granville Gude Park, 8300 Mulberry Street, Laurel, MD, 20707.

Juneteenth is a significant day in American history. It commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for equality and justice.

Join us to celebrate freedom and unity as we honor African American history in the United States. There will be live entertainment, free give-a-ways, and onsite vendors highlighting their products and services.

The City of Laurel Juneteenth Committee is committed to creating a memorable and inclusive event that commemorates the essence of Juneteenth. We are looking forward to seeing you on Saturday, June 22nd.
