Fourth Street at the intersection of Marshall Avenue through the intersection with Fourth and Gorman Avenue will be closed to local traffic, and the area subject to detours starting on Monday, December 16, 2024, with work completion anticipated by Monday, December 30, 2024, for underground waterline Improvements by The Washington Suburban Sanitation Commission (WSSC).
During this two-week period vehicles will not be able to travel on Fourth Street between Gorman Avenue (Maryland 198) and Marshall Avenue. Local traffic and emergency vehicles will still be able to access Fourth Street from Gorman Avenue but is strictly limited to local traffic and no truck traffic what-so-ever.
