Volunteering

The purpose of the program is to provide an opportunity to become involved with your community and local government; to provide students the opportunity to meet their community service hours requirement for graduation; to provide scouting organizations with the opportunity to meet Merit Badge requirements and to provide assistance to City Departments and City-sponsored organizations by matching volunteers whose skills and interests meet the requirements of the assignments.

Volunteering can offer you the chance to learn new skills, use your existing skills and expertise, develop new interests, meet people, become involved in action that effects social change and the opportunity to get involved!

If you are considering volunteering, we hope to help you find the opportunity you are looking for. Volunteers are needed to do just about anything from repairing computers to filing, landscaping or special projects. Time commitments can range from a few hours for a single project, to as much time as you have available. Try something new, learn new skills and meet new people.

To volunteer, call 301-725-5300, ext. 2109, email your interests to laurelvolunteer@laurel.md.us or take a look at the list below for City and other volunteering opportunities. Below is a link to the forms you need to fill out to be a Volunteer with the City of Laurel (Please print and fill out each form and sign before returning it to the City of Laurel)
